Reshma Kalyanpur Chadha earned a diploma in counselling from the United Theological College, Bangalore, in 1999. She is interested in different kinds of healing and takes an interdisciplinary approach to her work. She draws from Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness and Self-Compassion. She also holds a certificate in acupressure from Prakruthi Jeevan Kendra, another in Reiki from the Reiki India Research Centre, and has studied yoga at the Bihar School of Yoga. She has volunteered first at Vishwas Society for Mental Health and then later at Sneha Society for Counselling.

Before this, Reshma worked first with Siemens in Bombay, coding on a Tata Burroughs mainframe computer, and then with NIIT Bangalore in their Corporate Consultancy Division, teaching C++ to engineers. Drawing from her experience conducting corporate training programs, she has conducted many student outreach programs in a variety of schools and colleges. She especially enjoys working with underprivileged children and has counselled and conducted outreach programs at many low-income schools in both urban and rural settings as well. Most of her work in these programs has been to teach students about life-skills, sexuality education, and possibilities for peer counselling.

Once upon a time Reshma won second prize in a water skiing competition at the Indian Institute of Skiing and Mountaineering. These days, she is quite content going on imaginary adventures with her little granddaughter. She lives in Bangalore with her family.
